In 1957, Satprem was given his name – meaning “the one who loves truly” – by the Mother.

He is the author of Sri Aurobindo, or the Adventure of Consciousness (1964), a well-known book that connected countless western readers to the Yoga of Sri Aurobindo.

He developed a close relation with the Mother, and recorded hours of their dialog, now published and translated into the 13 volume Mother’s Agenda.
