Description
Before and during his political career (1906-1910) Sri Aurobindo gave a number of public speeches, most of them dealing with the principles and programmes of the Indian national movement and a few taking up matters of more general concern. They were noted down at the time and printed in journals or kept in government files. The editors have provided footnotes explaining some of Sri Aurobindo’s allusions to men and events of the period, adding to the interest these speeches will have for the student of modern Indian history.
